Weeping Willow Fine Arts is located in historic Hopkinton NH under the artisanship of Diane Bennett. Incorporated in 1765, the Town of Hopkinton was once the state capital and with its small town ambiance, blend of well preserved history and incredible natural beauty, it has provided the backdrop and muse for artisans, painters, architects and designers for close to 300 years. It is this inspiration that drives Diane’s unique creations of fused dichroic glass and wool sculptures using needle and wet felting methods. Having studied under Sharon Castello at the Fiber Studio for wool felting, and pursuing her passion in fused glass Diane excels at putting color and light into every exquisite piece. Weeping Willow Fine Arts produces some of the most beautiful creations around, that you have to see to really believe.

fused glassIn business for over 5 years she works out of her home studio that looks out into the pine and maple forests with classical New England stone walls where the colors and natural beauty that invade her studio windows provide the visual encouragement to create the wonderful movement of light created by blending the dichroic glass colors. Dichroic glass with its ability to reflect and transmit light in more than one color, and to change its by color by the varying its background or viewing angle means that every piece of artwork like natures snowflake is truly unique.

The design process begins with sheets of glass, which are then fcustom-made jewelryused into the designs in the studio kiln at temperatures ranging from 1300 to 1500 degrees. Fused glass pieces are carefully cut and shaped, and with fire polishing to create its highly polished finish the jewelry is finished with findings and/or wire-wrapped with sterling silver or gold-filled wire and the other creations are shaped and attached to a wide array of unique items like wine stoppers, letter openers, or wall hangings. If you are interested in unique gifts for friends and family or something for yourself Weeping Willow Fine Arts has many creations to choose from.
